Position Summary
The Graduate Assistant for the College of Engineering and Business Deans Office duties will include but are not limited to the following: CEB Student Support Identify student needs (using critical thinking skills): Process forms and determine next steps; Initiate communications as necessary with college data assistant academic advisor or department chair; and Recognize when dean/associate dean intervention is required. CEB Activities Support Maintain and update files spreadsheets and paperwork on an on-going basis; Create materials to promote CEB activities; Update informational boards as required; Provide tours to prospective students and employees; Assist and help in the coordination of CEB events focusing on students and employers; Manage the social media posts and generate content; and Monitor social media activity and provide feedback and recommendations. Dean and Associate Dean Support Conduct curriculum research; Research information for program changes; and Analyze current program data. Office Support Receive and sort campus mail and assist visitors at the front desk; Conduct building tours sharing appropriate talking points; Collaborate on projects to meet common goals; and Perform additional duties in all areas as assigned by deans office staff. The Deans Office hours are 8:00AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday. Career Readiness Learning Objectives connected to this position: Critical Thinking: The Graduate Assistant will recognize and respond to the level of intervention necessary for all CEB visitors that come to the Deans Office for assistance. Required Qualifications

Must be available to work the hours requested for the semester Applicants should be well versed in Microsoft 365 Office products including Word Excel Outlook and PowerPoint and feel comfortable in an office environment. Good communication skills and time management are paramount to succeeding in this role. Personal qualities should include confidentiality honesty and an outgoing nature. General expectations include punctuality appropriate attire and ability to work with limited supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate-level students with advanced Excel skills for data analysis with the ability to use pivot tables graphs and charts to create visually-appealing presentations will be given priority.
