About Us

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. We are seeking creative dynamic and committed teachers to join our team at Katimavik Elementary School.


Katimavik Elementary School is located in Kanata. Our school serves a culturally diverse population with many of our students speaking one of about 40 different languages other than English and French. We also welcome international students from time to time in our school. Our school staff is committed to:

Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with a human rights and equity perspective to foster student success achievement and well-being.

Eligibility List

All Occasional Teachers are eligible to apply for Long Term Occasional postings for which they are qualified.

If you are fully external to the OCDSB you may apply to this posting if you have the required qualifications. Please be advised that our order of consideration for Elementary LTOsis as follows:

1) current elementary occasional teacher applicants followed by

2) qualified external applicants.


Required Qualifications

OCT Divisional Qualifications: Junior/Intermediate

OCT Additional Qualifications: FSL Part 1

Additional Requirements (experience knowledge education) considered an asset for the Position: Spec Ed qualifications and any work with students who require differentiation and modifications due to personal need
