A day in the Life:
- Partner with Operations leaders to drive operational performance including setting direction on plant efficiency operating expenses (Plant and Non-plant direct and indirect) sourcing spend capital expenditures (growth and maintenance) and inventory
- Contribute strategic insight and drive execution of integration activities related to the Division joining Thermo Fisher Scientific
- Drive the needed daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual operational rhythm to assure accountability for global COGS Inventory working capital performance vs. plan
- You will lead our standard cost roll process and physical inventory/cycle count program
- Ensure compliance with financial standards related to COGS inventory and Capital
- Attract develop and retain talent. Lead team of 7 finance and cost accounting professionals
Keys to Success:
- Superb communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and work well under pressure.
Education
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 10 years providing finance partnership within large scale global companies (5 years associated with manufacturing environments)
Knowledge Skills Abilities
- Expertise with ERP and financial consolidation systems (ie. SAP JD Edwards Hyperion) large data sets and financial modeling.
- Ability to interact and connect with people at all levels. Have courage to communicate complicated issues and collaborate across teams.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
This role requires the ability to work onsite with up to 30% domestic/international travel.
