The Advanced Emerging Technology (AET) directorate is part of the Raytheon Advanced Technology business unit and is responsible for developing systems that push the boundaries of the state of the art. Focused on both improving performance and lowering cost AET has a broad range of development efforts funded by various DoD customers including the services and research labs.

The newest program in the directorate is Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) a Navy program to provide the nation with a non-strategic regional presence to deter adversaries and ensure the United States has response options in a crisis.

This role is the Program Manager for that effort and will lead the recently awarded Phase 1 and will support the efforts to move on in the competition through Phases 2 and 3.

This role is onsite located in Tucson Arizona and requires up to 20% travel.

What You Will Do

  • Work closely with the AET Portfolio Director and integrated functional teams to execute the Phase 1 contract and develop a winning technical solution for subsequent program phases.
  • Partner with the SLCM-N chief engineer to execute the complex technical effort to develop a conceptual solution that meets requirements and provides a clear path to the subsequent milestones and eventual IOC
  • As part of the SLCM-N program leadership team the program manager will work directly with the SLCM-N program director in leading the start-up execution and capture of this critical program.
  • Display strong communication and presentation skills with both leadership and external customers
  • Manage the execution of the contracted efforts as well as associated IRAD projects
  • Raytheon Program Management Level 3 Certification is required or ability to achieve within 1 year.
  • Travel for customer engagements

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 10 years experience
  • Experience leading or directly supporting execution within a product development project or program
  • Experience writing and/or leading responses to solicitations (RFIs RFPs etc.) including white papers and proposals
  • Experience managing cost schedule and technical performance for programs with use ofprogram managementtoolssuch as EarnedValueManagementSystem (EVMS) IntegratedMasterPlan (IMP) IntegratedMasterSchedule (IMS)Riskand OpportunityManagement Scope Board or similar business processes
  • Experienceleadingcross-functionalteams including but not limited to: Engineering Contracts Finance Procurement/Supply Chainand/or Manufacturing/Operations
  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret U.S. government security clearance and program access after start

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Program Management Level 3 Certification or equivalent
  • Demonstratedsuccesscreating and maintainingstrongexecutive levelrelationshipswith supplierscustomers government representatives primes and internal peers
  • Experienceleading proposal efforts to include large value (>250M) through corporate level gating processes
  • Experience with contract negotiations and execution under varying contract types (IDIQ OTA Etc).
  • Experience leading missile development activities
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and manage a high-mix workload (multiple projects at once)
  • Familiarity with government acquisition process
  • Active Top Secret U.S. government security clearance
