Key Responsibilities:
KBR is seeking a Space Domain Awareness Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a multi-disciplinary team consisting of operational military and intelligence subject matter experts operations research analysts modelers and software engineers who conduct modeling simulation and analysis (MS&A) of emerging concepts for the Defense Advanced Projects Research Agency (DARPA) using advanced MS&A techniques and tools. The ideal candidate will:
Be able to think creatively and offer grounded out-of-the-box solutions when appropriate.
Be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with making or supporting decisions under uncertainty.
Have expert knowledge of US military space satellites systems sensors and employment concepts and of their contribution to the execution of kill chains and kill webs.
Assist with the identification and transformation of military or threat space doctrine tactics techniques and procedures into products to inform the development of behaviors and decision structures in the simulation software.
Contribute expertise during the conduct of studies for senior-level military decision makers technology developers and acquisition professionals.
Contribute to the development of quality written diagrammatic and analytic deliverables.
Develop and/or instantiate platform and system models model behaviors and model hierarchies in the designated modeling & simulation (M&S) environment as needed.
Lead small teams or tasks in support of the broader overall effort.

Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors Degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience in US Air Force US Space Force or other Service space-based operations and architectures
Direct experience developing space-based concepts of operation concepts of support and/or courses of action in support of Joint or Service Component Operational Planning efforts
Desired:
Masters Degree and at least 14 years of relevant experience in US Air Force US Space Force or other Service space-based operations and architectures
Experience supporting analytical studies of military operations
At least two (2) years of experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools
Recent M&S experience using AFSIM NGTS or similar mission-level combat modeling environments
US military Joint Qualified Officer designation
Scheduled Weekly Hours:
40hrs
Basic Compensation:
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
