Position Summary:
St. Michael Catholic School is seeking a dependable hardworking and mission-aligned janitor to help us maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment for our students and staff. This role supports the operational and custodial needs of the school mostly after school hours with occasional daytime tasks as needed.
This is an ideal position for someone who is flexible takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a warm faith-filled school community.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily cleaning of classrooms restrooms hallways and common areas
Sweeping vacuuming and mopping floors
Emptying trash and recycling
Wiping desks counters and touchpoints for sanitation
Occasional daytime help for special events or needs (room setup spills etc.)
Replenishing cleaning and restroom supplies
Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns
Securing the school building after hours if needed
Waxing moving furniture and deep cleaning of the school building during Summer

Qualifications:

Experience in janitorial or custodial work preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Must be reliable respectful and capable of maintaining confidentiality
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks
Must pass a background check and complete Safe Environment training (provided upon hire)

Work Schedule:

Flexible shifts; primarily afternoon/evening hours
Some daytime availability appreciated but not required daily
