About the role:
We are seeking an experienced and self-sufficient Sr. Credit Analyst to join our Deal Desk this role you will serve as a subject matter expert taking ownership of the credit review process for Samsaras largest and most complex accounts. You will be responsible for providing critical high-value analysis and insights to the Deal Desk and Sales leadership to mitigate risk and enable our ambitious growth objectives.
As a key partner to leaders you will operate with minimal day-to-day direction proactively identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance the value of our credit analysis function. This role is for a proven senior contributor who is passionate about driving process improvements and is eager to influence strategy from the ground up.
This is a remote position open to candidates residing in Mexico.

In this role you will:
- Own the end-to-end credit review process for the most strategic and high-value accounts ensuring alignment with company policies and risk tolerance.
- Serve as the internal subject matter expert on credit risk providing advanced analysis and insights to Deal Desk and Sales leadership to support complex deal structures.
- Proactively identify and manage high-risk scenarios providing clear recommendations and managing up to leaders on potential issues before they escalate.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members sharing best practices and elevating the quality of credit analysis across the organization.
- Lead initiatives to improve the credit management process championing and implementing solutions for automation workflow optimization and policy enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to develop and refine credit policies and programs that balance business growth with financial health.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all credit data by actively monitoring and managing credit tools and databases.

Minimum requirements for the role:
- 4 years of professional experience in credit analysis finance or a related role with a proven track record of handling complex cases.
- Demonstrated experience in independently managing processes and influencing stakeholders with data-driven insights.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret financial data and credit reports.
- Professional-level written and verbal fluency in English.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment with minimal day-to-day direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Adaptability to work a flexible schedule to support global operations including adjusting hours to provide critical coverage for regions with higher volume.
- Willingness to work a rotating holiday schedule to ensure business continuity and support quarter-end financial cycles which may conflict with local holidays.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Previous experience in the banking lending or financial services industries.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company.
- Experience with global credit management and international financial regulations.
- Proven ability to influence and align cross-functional leaders to achieve strategic objectives.
- A track record of driving significant process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Salesforce and Zendesk experience.
- Aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and peers.
