Description
If you are looking for an opportunity to grow we have an opportunity for you as a Put Away Lead! As a Put Away Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate movement of received goods from staging areas to their proper storage locations.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Task Assignment & Pre-Shift Coordination: Assign tasks and areas to put-away associates at shift start and conduct pre-shift briefings covering safety targets and any prevailing issues.
  • Monitoring & Performance Tracking: Review workload assess labor availability monitor team attendance and performance and ensure compliance with FIFO rules and designated put-away processes.
  • Inventory & Storage Management: Verify inventory is correctly placed track empty bin locations for replenishment and collaborate with inventory control for cycle counts and slotting adjustments.
  • Safety & Compliance Enforcement: Enforce safety protocols report and investigate incidents and ensure organized hazard-free put-away areas. Supervise scanner use for accurate data capture.
  • Continuous Improvement & Training: Train new staff identify areas for process improvements implement lean practices and recommend enhancements to receiving processes or layout.
  • Reporting & System Utilization: Run daily reports on key metrics such as Put Away rate Accuracy rate and Time to storage. Use Warehouse Management System for tracking and resolving discrepancies.
  • Process Optimization & Problem Resolution: Address inventory damage space constraints resolve system mismatches and advance issues requiring more significant intervention or adjustment.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience in warehousing supply chain or similar field
  • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Must be proficient with SAP. Able to run reports.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel Word Power Point)
  • Must be self-motivated and have demonstrated the ability to complete assigned tasks/projects with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must have a good understanding of basic inventory control concepts
  • The job requires walking bending standing and lifting to 35 pounds.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years forklift experience
