Willis Johnson & Associates (WJA) is seeking 12 motivated Juniors Seniors or Masters students to join our Tax Internship Program.
WJA is a Registered Investment Advisory firm not a CPA firm providing high-net-worth clients with comprehensive financial planning across all life stages including tax planning and compliance. As a tax intern youll gain hands-on experience in tax services while also seeing how tax integrates into broader wealth management strategies.
This internship is a great fit for students interested in pursuing the CPAor CFP designation.
Program Highlights
40-hour/week paid internship
Part of our Protg Program: technical training one-on-one mentoring and networking opportunities
Exposure to strategy sessions client meetings and the chance to lead a tax research project
Essential Responsibilities
Prepare individual fiduciary and business income tax returns
Compile and input data using Thomson Reuters UltraTax software
Manage workflows and organize returns in a paperless system
Partner with the Tax Manager and wealth managers to deliver outstanding client service
Support the Tax Operations team during busy season with client relations and project organization
Complete one specialized tax research project and present findings to members of the firm
Qualifications
Accounting or Finance major with an interest in Tax
Career goals in Public Accounting or Wealth Management
Strong initiative and organizational skills
Proficiency with technology research and analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication
Professional presence and ability to work under deadlines

Sophomore: $19/hr
Junior: $22/hr
Senior: $24/hr
Graduate/Post-Grad/MBA: $26/hr
