Job Description
STV has an immediate need for a Structural (Bridge) Engineer to join our Transportation and Infrastructure Team located in either our Raleigh or Charlotte NC offices. This position will involve analysis design and inspection of highway rail and pedestrian bridges and associated structures. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to be part of a successful growing practice within a firm that values integrity determination and drive and rewards individuals accordingly. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with clients on a regular basis and contribute to business development efforts. Responsibilities Include:
Work as an integral part of the Bridge Practice in our NC offices.
Provide analysis design and inspection of bridges and related structures.
Support structural design on selected projects and lead assigned tasks as appropriate.
Provide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating junior staff. Sr. Eng. only
Proactively drive safety and ensure that health and safety practices are maintained.
Assist in maintaining quality of project deliverables produced by the Bridge Group.
Qualifications Include:
Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering; Masters degree preferred but not required.
5-10 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects.
EIT Certification required. PE preferred
Solid structural analysis and design skills with an understanding of related engineering disciplines needed to complete transportation and infrastructure projects.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to form effective relationships with staff and clients.
Compensation Range:
