Database Architect

We currently have a vacancy for a Database Architect fluent in English to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the companys premises or on site at customer the context of the first assignment the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major clients IT team on site.

Tasks:

• Data analysis and modelling and database design and implementation;
• Reverse engineering of existing databases;
• Development maintenance integration of database components and integration with other database;
• Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models and databases;
• Writing of technical documentation and assistance with deployment and configuration of the system;
• Troubleshooting and optimization;
• Provision of technical evaluations audit reports of databases and risk analysis.

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with minimum 17 year of relevant working experience in IT;
• Minimum 5 years of experience development tools (e.g. Oracle SQL Developer) relational database systems (e.g. Oracle) and SQL.;
• Minimum 3 years of experience with data modelling and database design techniques and tools (e.g. SQL Developer Data Modeler Hackolade NoSQL Workbench);
• Minimum 3 years of experience with PL/SQL and database development best practices;
• Minimum 3 years of experience with database security database architecture and database release management;
• Minimum 1 year of experience with NoSQL database systems (e.g. Elastic Search Dynamo DB MongoDB Cassandra) and master data management;
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Agile methodology confluence and Jira;
• Excellent command of the English language. Knowledge of French will be considered an advantage.
