Health Aide
Location:1915 Eisenhower Drive Savannah GA 31406
Pay Rate:$24/hr
Shifts:7:00am-7:30pm and 7:00pm-7:30am
Job Description:
Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answers clients call signals
- Assists in administration of medications and treatments takes vital signs and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids as directed by a physician or nurse
- Bathes grooms shave and dresses clients
- Conducts activities for recreation and socialization
- Ensures safety and security of clients
- Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves
- Observes and documents patient data behavior and activity
- Prepares clients for treatment or examination
- Provides clients with help walking exercising and moving in and out of bed
- Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units using a wheelchair or stretcher
- Receives additional training as required to gain full proficiency and experience in all areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of continuous experience providing basic patient care in psychiatric healthcare is required.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs and have the strength to push and pull and stand for long periods of time.
- Current Life Saver Certification is required.
