Job Description
Description
- Develop implement and maintain EHS policies procedures and programs in compliance with local state and federal regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA).
- Conduct regular safety audits risk assessments and inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Partner with the Lead EHS Coordinator to conduct safety audits risk assessments and facility inspections.
- Oversee environmental compliance including waste management air and water quality environmental permits and hazardous materials handling.
- Deliver EHS training and education to employees at all levels.
- Maintain records prepare reports and communicate EHS performance to management.
- Serve as a key point of contact for regulatory agencies and coordinate facility inspections.
- Maintain ISO 14001 and 45001 certifications
- Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Occupational Safety Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; experience in legacy or historic facilities is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Certification such as CSP CIH or CHMM preferred.
