Job Summary

Job Description: Security Engineer IV (Windows Systems)

Key Responsibilities:

Design implement and maintain Windows Server environments () ensuring reliability security and optimal performance.
Administer and optimize Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) DNS DHCP Certificate Services and Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC).
Develop maintain and troubleshoot advanced PowerShell and PowerCLI scripts to automate system administration tasks and enhance functionality.
Implement and manage disaster recovery and backup strategies including hybrid cloud solutions such as CommVault Metallic Backups.
Perform administration patching and deployment of updates and upgrades across Windows 10/11 desktops and Windows Servers in both physical and virtual environments.
Provide detailed documentation for system designs configurations processes and service records.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure projects and deliver expert technical leadership.
Mentor junior team members providing guidance on best practices and technical problem solving.
Support 24/7/365 on-call operations as required to ensure system availability and rapid incident response.
Troubleshoot and resolve LAN/WAN connectivity performance and throughput issues.
Analyze system development and implementation requirements preparing modifications and specifications as needed.
Ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards including CIS Controls NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and DISA STIGs.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security Information Systems or a related field or equivalent combination of education certifications and experience.
10 years of progressive experience in Windows System Administration and Information Security.
Proven expertise with Active Directory Group Policy DNS DHCP TCP/IP IPv4/IPv6 Certificate Services and Windows Server Failover Clustering.
Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments.
Advanced proficiency in PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of hybrid backup and disaster recovery solutions such as CommVault Metallic Backups.
Strong communication documentation and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team in high-pressure environments.
Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule including after-hours support.
Current Microsoft certifications such as: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate and Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (or equivalent current/recent version).
