Life Cycle Engineering (LCE)is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe Reliable Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

What You Will Do

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated entry-level System Safety Engineer to join us on the System Safety Engineering Team. You will:

  • Learn MIL-STD-882E Safety processes and perform safety tasks and analysis in support of that guidance.
  • Assist in the development of plans and reports to address key Safety focus areas.
  • Support the interpretation of system requirements and customer specifications.
  • Assist in the investigation and development of new technology that can benefit LCE especially in the Safety domain.
  • Assist in working across integrated product teams to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.
  • Participate in technical reviews as a part of the safety approval process

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Strong analytical skills
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Customer focus and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; knowledge of MS Office or other presentation tools
  • Experience in the preparation and presentation of briefing material
