GM Compliance and Enablement - Secondment

About the Role

As the GM Compliance & Enablement youll be accountable for ensuring Sportsbet deeply understands and manages its compliance obligations and implements controls to manage risks effectively and efficiently in accordance with pragmatic policies and frameworks. These extend to the policies and frameworks of the Flutter Entertainment Group and the Flutter International Division particularly as they relate to compliance matters such as mandatory training Conflicts of Interest Gifts & Hospitality Responsible Artificial Intelligence and Data Privacy.

In addition to being a member of the Sportsbet Extended Leadership Team youll be a key part of the LRC Leadership Team and will provide seamless delivery support for all compliance-related activities undertaken across the business including development and management of a comprehensive obligations library risk assessment control articulation and design and regulatory change management. You will work closely with Legal Risk and Compliance SMEs across the business to ensure we are efficient and effective in managing our compliance obligations.

In addition to providing general compliance advice across the business you will be accountable for Sportsbets:

• Compliance Framework;
• Library of Compliance Obligations;
• Horizon Scanning & Regulatory Change Impact Analysis processes (supporting implementation of regulatory change as appropriate);
• Privacy Impact Assessment process;
• Privacy Incident Management / Data Breach Response process (in consultation with Sportsbets Chief Privacy Officer);
• Code of Conduct & Mandatory Compliance Training Framework (including Financial Disincentive Policy);
• Policy Governance approach; and
• Annual Modern Slavery Statement.

You will design and implement processes and reporting on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment including in relation to compliance incidents for provision to the Sportsbet Board and Senior Management as well as to Flutter Group and Flutter International Division.

About You

• Ability to work closely and communicate with and influence department managers and senior executives.
• Ability to articulate and drive transformational change and uplift across the business.
• Excellent analytical skills including identifying potential issues and scenarios.
• Functional and Technical Leadership to 4 direct reports and the broader business.
• Practical understanding and experience operating across a number of strategic and operational risk domains including Technology Product Marketing HR and Data.
• Practical understanding and experience operating in consumer facing regulatory environments including advertising and privacy.
• Understanding of the application of risk and compliance management practices especially relating to risk management regulation in Australia.
• Proven experience in improving Risk and Compliance capabilities processes and policies.
• Knowledge of relevant risk management framework design principles including COSO relevant Australian Standard.
• Flexibility adaptability and ability to manage and execute continual improvement and transformational change.
• Experience in operationalising contemporary approaches to enterprise risk management and compliance in digital and multi-channel consumer businesses.
• Ability to manage and interface into Overseas Group Functions and negotiating outcomes and priorities that balance Group and local fit for purpose operationalisation.
