Position: Deputy General Manager (DGM) Customer Relations & Direct Marketing
Department: Naval / Marine Equipment and Systems
Reports To: Head Naval Systems
Role Summary:
The DGM Customer Relations & Direct Marketing will lead the interface with key defense
customers and public sector shipyards ensuring close coordination for project execution
business development and timely communication. The role involves managing project
communication coordinating tender submissions and maintaining strong customer
relationships while also keeping internal teams aligned with customer expectations and
project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Account Management
o Serve as the primary point of contact for GRSE HSL CSL GSL MDL Indian
Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
o Maintain strong working relationships with technical commercial and
project teams at customer organizations.
o Participate in and organize regular project review meetings and ensure
follow-ups are actioned.
Project Progress Communication
o Appraise customers through detailed Project Progress Reports and
periodic Review Meetings.
o Coordinate with internal project engineering and production teams to
remain updated on execution status.
o Ensure project milestones risk mitigation plans and delays (if any) are
proactively communicated to customers.
Internal Coordination
o Liaise with Engineering Production Procurement and Quality teams to align
internal actions with customer expectations.
o Ensure timely flow of information across departments to meet contractual
and delivery commitments.
o Support internal escalation and resolution of issues affecting
