Job Description
Role: SAP Finance (FI) Consultant / Business Architect
Location: Houston TX (On-site)
Duration: 12 Months (possible extension)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance (FI) Consultant / Business Architect to support large-scale transformation programs across the Oil & Gas and Retail Distribution sectors. The role will involve leading the design and optimization of financial processes within SAP S/4HANA ensuring compliance seamless integration with operational systems and alignment with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities-
Act as a Finance (FI) subject matter expert in SAP S/4HANA implementations and upgrades.

Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements define financial processes and document solution designs.

Architect and configure SAP FI modules (GL AP AR Asset Accounting Bank Accounting Tax etc.) to support end-to-end financial processes.

Ensure alignment of finance processes with corporate strategies compliance and industry standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate finance with logistics supply chain procurement and retail distribution systems.

Provide guidance on data migration master data governance and financial reporting.

Support testing cycles (unit integration UAT) and ensure smooth cutover/go-live activities.

Provide thought leadership on best practices process improvements and digital transformation in finance.

10 years of hands-on SAP Finance (FI) experience with at least 2 full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA implementations.

Strong expertise in General Ledger Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Asset Accounting and Banking.

Proven experience in business process architecture solution design and system integration.

Deep knowledge of Oil & Gas financial processes (Revenue Recognition JVA Production Accounting etc.) and Retail Distribution financial operations.

Familiarity with Controlling (CO) Profitability Analysis (COPA) and Treasury modules is a plus.

Strong communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business or related field; MBA/CPA a plus.

Knowledge of SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting.

Experience in taxation and compliance within US O&G/Retail sector.

Exposure to Fiori apps and user experience enhancements.
