Job Description:

  • Using MIL-STD-461G and RTCA DO-160 to determine aircraft EMI/EMC electronic systems compatibility
  • Perform HIRF High-Intensity Radiated Field analysis Lightning analysis TEMPEST analysis to determine feasibility of aircraft design within time and cost constraints
  • Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
  • Select equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
  • Perform simulations/tests and present data to peer engineers or customers
  • Use test equipment to analyze/verify hardware designs

EMI/EMC Engineering

  • EMI/EMC Aircraft/Device testing and evaluation based on MIL-STD-461G and RTCA DO-160 requirements
  • Familiarity with the concept of TEMPEST requirements and testing
  • Determine testing approaches and parameters. Analyze data to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Analyze equipment to establish operating parameters conduct experimental tests and evaluate results

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical & Computer Engineering or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge and/or experience with RF design Antenna theory
  • Knowledge of Network Analyzers Spectrum Analyzers signal generators
  • Excellent communication technical writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of and/or understanding circuit analysis and operational concepts
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
