The Charleston Hub is seeking several outstanding candidates with top notch communication and customer service skills who reside in or near the Charleston SC area to help prepare for and help attendees at the upcoming conference in Charleston from November 1st -7th.
We have the following 18 short-term temporary Registration Desk Staff positions available:
12 positions are needed on Saturday 11/1/25 - Sunday 11/2/25 at the Francis Marion Hotel
13 positions are needed Monday 11/3/25 at the Francis Marion Hotel
16 positions are needed Tuesday 11/4/25 (9 people at the Francis Marion Hotel 5 people at the Gaillard Center 2 people at the Courtyard Marriott)
16 positions are needed Wednesday 11/5/25 (9 people at the Francis Marion Hotel 5 people at the Gaillard Center 2 people at the Courtyard Marriott)
16 positions are needed Thursday 11/6/25 (9 people at the Francis Marion Hotel 5 people at the Gaillard Center 2 people at the Courtyard Marriott)
4 positions are needed Friday 11/7/25 (4 people at the Francis Marion Hotel)
The required work hours for each day are described below:
Saturday and Sunday 11/1/25 and 11/2/25: Approx. 8 hours each day from 9:00am - 5:00pm
Monday 11/3/25: Approx. 10 hours from 9:00am - 7:00pm
Tuesday 11/4/25 - Thursday 11/6/25: 12 hours per day from 7:00am - 7:00pm
Friday 11/7: 9 hours per day from 8:00am - 5:00PM
Eligible candidates must be able to:
Work on-site in Charleston SC during the required days and hour
Consistently arrive on time and demonstrate dependability and reliability
Follow instructions take direction well and complete tasks accurately and on schedule
Stand or sit for extended periods and move between locations (10-15 minutes on foot or via shuttle)
Lift and move objects weighing 30-40 pounds
Provide excellent customer service with professionalism and courtesy
Communicate clearly and effectively in a friendly diplomatic and professional manner
Show initiative work with a sense of urgency and maintain a positive team-oriented attitude
Adapt quickly to changing responsibilities circumstances and work locations
Collaborate effectively with others treat colleagues and customers with respect
Demonstrate strong attention to detail accuracy and thoroughness
Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship (now or in the future)
Dress in business casual attire while at work
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Packing conference bags with sponsor materials focusing on details to ensure correct materials are placed in bags
Distributing Conference materials and information to attendees
Providing excellent customer service at registration packet pickup distributing conference materials and information to them
Folding and organizing conference t-shirts
Assisting at the hotel information desk with clear and professional communication
Supporting the Mentors Desk (upper lobby)
Assisting with vendor showcase booth set up and break down as needed
The hourly pay rate for this position will be $15/hour.
