About the Job Software Engineer
In Tryg we have a wide range of applications and projects as part of the data platform ranging from low-level performance optimizations to infrastructure management to AI (LLM) based applications.
Our tech stack is always growing as the platform expands but currently the most important ones are:
You are expected to take ownership of your daily responsibilities and work independently without the need for constant direction. We follow a light agile development method based on practical considerations rather than rigid methodology.
About You Academic Background in Computer Science
You most likely have a background in Computer Science and have experience developing applications designed to process and manage large data volumes. Work experience will be considered but is not required.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with these concepts:
As a developer you are comfortable being handed a problem and deciding whether to delegate to team members or solve it yourself. You value the opinions of your colleagues and users and you are comfortable managing the tradeoffs between shipping products and making the code documented and maintainable.

The interview process consists of three interviews: 1) a technical interview with a take-home task given beforehand 2) an interview where we talk about the team and tasks and 3) an interview involving our Talent Acquisition partner from HR.
