The Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) is accepting applications to fill the position of Office Specialist Arson FOIA Coordinator. The agency is seeking to hire an independent highly organized candidate with a positive attitude to perform complex paraprofessional duties for the Arson Investigations Division. This position processes and responds timely to Arson FOIA requests on behalf of the Division ensuring compliance with FOIA policies. The ideal candidate works independently and is a detail-oriented self-starter and has experience in the coordination of various complex office support functions. As the Arson FOIA Coordinator and employee of the State of Illinois the selected candidate will have access to state healthcare benefits and a pension plan. Qualifying state employees in the employee Upward Mobility Program may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification.
