Job Description

Primary Purpose: Responsible for planningorganizing and implementing a comprehensive and engaging program ofrecreational educational and wellness activities that promote independencesocialization and quality of life for residents across campus wide independentliving communities. Oversee lifestyle staffand ensure coordination of all activities including planning communication andexecution of events and activities.

Qualifications/Skills Needed:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2 years in senior living hospitalityprogramming or recreational programming preferably with older adults.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communicationskills.
  • Strong organization and timemanagement abilities.

Primary Duties (Essential Functions) include butare not limited to:

Program Development & Coordination

Design and implement a monthlycalendar of activities and events aligned with residents interests and needs.

Schedule coordinate andoversee recreational programs such as exercise and educational classes artsand crafts outings lectures games entertainment cognitive engagement andsocial gatherings.

Arrange transportation andstaff support for off-site trips and appointments when needed whiledemonstrating an ability and willingness to drive company provided vehicles

Oversee procurement and coordinationof vendor relationships for each perspective independent living community.

Plan and organize activitiesfor the Village Community.

Resident Engagement

Assess residents preferencesand abilities to personalize programming.

Encourage participation andbuild a sense of community and inclusion among residents.

Actively solicit feedback andevaluate program effectiveness.

Maintain a high level ofaccessibility to residents.

Utilize Above and Beyond bestpractices when engaging residents.

Team Leadership &Communication

Supervise and schedule activityassistants volunteers and external program facilitators.

Collaborate with otherdepartments (e.g. dining transportation) to support community-wideinitiatives.

Communicate effectively withresidents families and staff about upcoming activities and events.

Administrative Duties

Maintain appropriate budget fordepartment.

Ensure compliance with allapplicable health safety and community guidelines.

Keep accurate records ofattendance resident preferences and program evaluations.

Monitor and update activityrelated information in Uniguest application.
