You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailRoughan & ODonovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a resident engineer for a fixed term 15-month contract role on the Coonagh to Knockalisheen Distributor Road scheme in Limerick City.

Location: Coonagh to Knockalisheen Distributor Road Limerick City
Salary: Competitive
The scheme comprises approximately:
2.2km of urban dual carriageway road with footway and cycleways
0.6km of new urban single carriageway road with footways and cycleways
2.0km of major improvements to an existing urban single carriageway road with footways and cycleways
construction of one concrete overbridge over the existing Limerick to Galway railway line
A degree in engineering (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)
At least five years postgraduate experience as a resident engineer on:
road projects including at least one with a construction value in excess of 15.0 million (exclusive of VAT)
bridge projects including at least one individual bridge structure with a construction value in excess of 0.5 million (exclusive of VAT)
Experience in administering the public works forms of contract
Experience in implementing procedures and systems for accurate record-keeping
Knowledge and awareness of health and safety legislation
Good organisational skills
Motivated individual with a strong work ethic
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Fluency/high level of proficiency in spoken and written English
Competency in the use of the Microsoft Suite and AutoCAD
Competency in reading and understanding plans and specifications
Chartered engineer status (CEng MIEI or equivalent)
