Incumbents of the Shift Millwright position average $130000/year.
Hourly Rate/Salary Range: $17.43-$22.25/hr plus production bonus
Production positions are paid a base hourly rate along with a production bonus which is calculated based on the amount of quality tons produced and paid weekly.

Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Kankakee is seeking qualified applicants for a Shift Millwright position. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Developing and promoting safe work practices
Maintaining daily records in a computerized maintenance system
Applying technical knowledge to improve the conditions of all mill equipment overhead cranes etc.
Utilize skills toward preventive routine and breakdown maintenance on all equipment
Selection Criteria:
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Excellent verbal and writen communication skills
Knowledge of mechanical breakdown preventative and predictive maintenance practices
Willingness to follow through with completion of jobs and goals
Excellent computer skills which include but not limited to Excel PowerPoint and wrod skills.
Ability to analyze problem solve- and think strategically
Outstanding abilities and proven track record in relationship building
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on work experience in industrial maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
Mechanical/Electrical Certification or degree
Must be able to perform all essential functions of thejob with or without reasonable accommodation
