About the role:
As our Configurations and Platforms Analyst youll play a critical role in ensuring the health accuracy and maturity of our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities. Reporting to the Configurations & Platforms Lead youll join one other C&P Analyst to design implement and continuously improve our ServiceNow CMDB and ITOM solutions aligning them with ITIL best practices and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owning the integrity and accuracy of the CMDB including discovery service mapping and reconciliation processes.
- Designing configuring and optimising ITOM modules (e.g. Discovery Service Mapping Event Management Orchestration).
- Monitoring CMDB and ITOM health generating insights and producing regular reports on data quality system performance and platform maturity.
- Driving automation and integration improvements that enhance visibility efficiency and stability of IT services.
- Maintaining clear documentation for CMDB models platform configurations integrations and operational procedures.
- Providing technical expertise and support by identifying issues troubleshooting complex ServiceNow configurations and ensuring timely resolution.
About you:
Youll bring a strong background in ServiceNow administration platform configuration and IT operations with a particular focus on CMDB and ITOM practices. Known for being proactive and detail-oriented youll have a passion for improving data quality operational insights and platform capability. Ideally youll also have:
- Proven experience in ServiceNow CMDB management and ITOM module configuration (Discovery Service Mapping Event Management etc.).
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes particularly around Configuration Management and IT Operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex ServiceNow and integration issues.
- Familiarity with cloud-native infrastructure APIs and automation frameworks (e.g. CI/CD pipelines orchestration tools).
- Excellent communication skills able to translate technical detail and value to stakeholders
