Position Summary
This position focuses on the development coordination and delivery of impactful adult and senior recreation programs including trips special events and wellness opportunities. The role also provides support for customer service operations and staff supervision at the Renaud Center front desk and Alligator Creek Aquatic Center.

General Responsibilities:
Plan develop and supervise a variety of recreational activities and programs
Recruit train schedule evaluate and supervise part-time staff
Serve as Manager on Duty at the recreation complex ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service
Communicate effectively with program participants resolving issues and answering questions
Manage program budgets forecast revenue and ensure responsible spending
Serve as a liaison to schools community groups and service providers
Prepare reports develop marketing materials and maintain program records
Collaborate with other City departments including Parks and Volunteer Services
Develop manuals rules flyers announcements and assist with capital equipment bids
Respond to and resolve customer concerns
Specialized Responsibilities Renaud Center Front Desk and Senior Programs:
Oversee day-to-day front desk operations at the Renaud Center
Supervise three (3) full-time Recreation Assistants
Manage the planning and implementation of senior programs including alignment with senior insurance discount programs
Act as Recording Secretary for the Senior Advisory Committee
Manage all trips special events and general participation for adult programming
Oversee front desk operations at Alligator Creek Aquatic Center
Assist with the utilization and optimization of RecTrac software for program tracking and customer engagement
What Were Looking For:
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Experience with senior and adult programming preferred
Ability to manage multiple programs and supervise a team
Familiarity with RecTrac or similar recreation management software is a plus
A passion for recreation and community enrichment
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to three years
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license issued by the State of Missouri for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
Possession of or ability to readily obtain certification in CPR
Certified Parks and Recreation Professional (CPRP) preferred
