Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Warehouse Systems - Monroe is seeking applicants for Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician will safely provide support to the Monroe team by:
- Being a leader in safety.
- Ensuring spare parts are identified and available.
- Grow the Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program.
- Serves as a technical expert for Maintenance Technicians and Operations.
- Proactively identify work to be performed in order to minimize downtime.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve equipment performance.
- Prepare jobs to be performed during schedule and unscheduled down time.
- Works hands on with the team to execute jobs.
- Ensure work is executed with a high level of quality and workmanship.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree and/or a minimum of 5 years experiencein industrial maintenance.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including scheduled and unscheduled overtime rotating shifts and off shifts.
- Must be able to develop LOTO procedures train the team on our LOTO policy and practice.
- Must be able to demonstrate proper communication skills with all departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical and Electrical maintenance experience.
- Excellent knowledge of LOTOTO .
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to read and understand Mechanical Electrical and Hydraulic drawings.
