The Covert Online Investigation Team (COLT) is currently seeking Police employees to join the team as an Authorised Officer. As an Investigator you will lead and support investigations into cyber-enabled Organised Crime and Online Child Exploitation.
Successful applicants will have the unique opportunity to contribute to a specialised investigative capability by enhancing tradecraft developing covert engagement methods and identifying new investigative techniques.
COLT is looking for investigators who are self-motivated passionate have a positive mindset and capable of thinking outside the box when problem solving. They must be proactive in identifying opportunities to disrupt cyber-enabled Organised Crime and Online Child Exploitation.
This role is unique as online offending is borderless and requires investigators to build effective relationships with both domestic and international law enforcement partners. The role requires the highest level of integrity and an interest in covert policing.
The position is subject to rotation based on COLT operational demands and individual development.

Utu -tau Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $88179 and $92267 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
