Job Description

Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Northern Ireland specialising in the design and production of high-precision heavy-duty machinery. They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team and support the production of bespoke high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up program and operate CNC milling and turning machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances.

  • Work from technical drawings and CAD models to deliver high-quality finished parts.

  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure components meet the required specifications.

  • Perform routine maintenance of machines and manage tooling requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Maintain a safe and efficient working environment at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist Operator or Programmer in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proficiency in CNC machine setup operation and programming (Fanuc Heidenhain or similar).

  • Ability to interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise tolerances.

  • Knowledge of inspection tools and quality assurance processes.

  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

Eligibility Requirement

  • Due to Home Office requirement changes this role is strictly open only to candidates who are already based in the UK and currently hold a valid Post-Graduate Visa.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience working on heavy-duty or industrial machinery.

  • Exposure to bespoke or customised engineering projects.

  • Apprenticeship or formal training in machining or mechanical engineering.
