We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digitalization Scientist to join our team in the Data and Digitalization circle (D2AI) which supports all the business (functional circles) of pCMC - including chemical synthesis and analytics preformulation sciences and materials science. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling diverse types of molecular physicochemical and drug product data a proven track record in leveraging AI techniques and expertise in deploying tools to democratize their access.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Support and develop our preformulation guidance application based on LLM agents and ML models.
Support and deploy a platform to facilitate pattern discrimination coming from our solid form screening team
Support the Solid Phase Technology by contributing to their Oligo synthesis automation pipeline needs
Act as circle coordinator for the Cross Functional Data and Digitalization Circle in pCMC helping with overviewing the circles tasks and contributions
Contribute to the digital upskilling of pCMC through the initiatives offered by D2AI
Participate and contribute to the AI and digitalization initiatives within TMo and liaise with the relevant stakeholders in IX and gCS/D&A

As a Data Science you will play a key role in enabling the digital technologies impacting our Roche addition you bring:
Strong technical expertise and experience in modelling and handling of chemical data and processes (RDKIT Torch python )
Experience in working in a diverse IT landscape with both on premise and cloud based systems for data processing storage and simulations (AWS Linux GSD HPC)
Digital proficiency and hands on experience with deployment tools (Docker CI/CD)
Experience and keen interest in LLMs and agentic programming is advantageous. (LangChain/LangGraph CrewAI)
Clear confident communication and presentation skills with proficiency in English.
