Starting July 1 2025 or by arrangement we are seeking a technically proficient self-driven
Senior Software Engineer (Backend/Fullstack) 100%
with AI expertise to join our team at the intersection of AI technology and legal compliance.
This position is fully remote in Europe.
Technology meets Legal/Compliance/Risk Management around AI: You will build scalable systems to help organizations navigate complex AI governance regulatory compliance and risk management landscapes.
Requirements
Core Experience
- 7 years of experience in software engineering with at least 4 years in senior-level roles
- Strong experience with:
- Python development with modern frameworks (FastAPI preferred)
- AI integrations and AI product development - hands-on experience building deploying and scaling AI-powered applications
- Architectural design and problem-solving - proven track record of designing scalable maintainable systems
- Cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices
- Ownership is mandatory: doer and team-player
Development Practices
- Experience with:
- Development best practices
- Remote and asynchronous work methodologies
- Monitoring and observability solutions for production systems
- Performance optimization and scalability planning
- Frontend development skills
- Experience with enterprise-scale applications and high-availability systems
AI Expertise
- Demonstrated experience as an AI user developer and enthusiast with:
- Integration of LLMs AI agents and ML models into production systems
- Understanding of AI model deployment monitoring and lifecycle management
- Experience with AI workflow automation and orchestration
- Knowledge of AI system performance evaluation and optimization
Preferred Qualifications
AI and Compliance Domain Knowledge
- Understanding of AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act NIST AI RMF ISO/IEC 42001)
- Experience with regulatory compliance automation in technology contexts
- Knowledge of legal tech or compliance management systems
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies for AI systems
- Experience with audit trails and compliance reporting for AI applications
Leadership and Collaboration
- Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with legal and compliance teams
- Experience working with distributed teams and asynchronous communication

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with an understanding of the legal and ethical implications of AI systems helping us build products that enable responsible AI adoption at scale.
You excel at translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders ensuring AI systems meet both engineering and compliance requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential as youll document decisions advocate for best practices and align teams across legal product and engineering
