The Head of CIO Office plays a pivotal role within the IT department acting as the strategic and operational backbone of the CIO function. This role leads the CIO Office team in overseeing IT governance managing the departmental budget ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations and coordinating administrative support across all IT functions. The position requires a dynamic leader who combines financial acumen operational excellence and a strong understanding of corporate governance within a highly regulated banking environment.
IT Governance & Strategy
- Drive and maintain IT governance structures in alignment with group-wide standards
- Facilitate regular steering committees and IT governance forums
- Monitor adherence to IT policies procedures and risk frameworks and provide periodic strategic reports to senior management
Budgeting & Financial Control
- Own and manage the full IT budget lifecycle from planning through execution to reporting
- Coordinate financial forecasting and cost optimization efforts
- Liaise with Finance to ensure accurate allocation and tracking of IT expenditures
Administrative Operations
- Oversee vendor and contract management in coordination with Procurement
- Supervise IT procurement and onboarding processes
- Ensure timely and consistent reporting across all administrative functions
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key interface between IT and other departments (Finance HR Compliance)
- Support the CIO in internal and external communications including board-level presentations
- Align IT objectives with broader bank strategy
Management & Leadership
- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the CIO Office team
- Structure team responsibilities set performance objectives and conduct regular evaluations
- Promote a high-performance culture based on trust collaboration and professional growth
- Champion change management efforts and lead internal communications
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Business Administration Information Technology or equivalent;
- Minimum of 810 years of experience in IT governance budgeting or strategic planning within financial services;
- Proven track record of leadership in managing cross-functional teams;
- Familiarity with Swiss banking regulations and IT compliance frameworks;
- Leadership and people-management abilities with a coach-like approach;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Analytical and structured approach to problem-solving;
- Fluent French & English;
