Job Description Summary

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Novartis by managing change and communication strategies to ensure successful integrations typically involving companies with clinical stage asset or pre-clinical stage assets of significant valuation (i.e. over $500M).


Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for driving successful change management strategies to support integration and separation activities.

  • Partner with Integration and Business Leads to drive change efforts that align with enterprise goals and support a One Novartis mindset.

  • In collaboration with Communications Function design and implement comprehensive audience-focused communication and engagement plans to keep stakeholders informed aligned and engaged. Promote open consistent communication across all levels of the organization to build trust and maintain alignment during transitions.

  • Ensure strong alignment and collaboration across enabling functions (e.g. Finance P&O IT Legal) to ensure seamless integration and value realization.

  • Drive Employee Engagement and Adoption Monitor employee sentiment address resistance to change and provide training and support to facilitate adoption of new processes and systems.

  • Leverage Data and Analytics Use data-driven insights to tailor communication strategies measure impact and continuously improve engagement effectiveness.

  • Systematically capture insights and outcomes from past integrations and separations to inform future initiatives. Develop standardized modular playbooks that can be adapted to different deal types sizes and geographies.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelors degree in Communication Business or a related field.

  • Change Management Expertise with proven ability to design and implement effective change management strategies.

  • Excellent written communication skills with a strong background in corporate communications and stakeholder engagement.

  • Demonstrate strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and developing strategic communication plans.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desired Criteria

  • Masters degree in a relevant field.

  • M&A Experience: Experience leading integrations and/or separations ideally within a complex global organization

  • Proficiency in additional languages
