You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Novartis by managing the end-to-end integration of strategic acquisitionstypically involving companies with clinical stage asset or pre-clinical stage assets of significant valuation (i.e. over $500M) and you will ensure the seamless execution of acquisition-related activities.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support the development and implementation of end-to-end integration plans including Day 1 and Day 100 readiness. Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and deal-specific requirements.
Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams (approx. 20 associates per integration) across corporate and asset domains to drive timely and effective execution of integration activities.
Prepare and facilitate discussions for the Operational Committee ensuring that key integration topics are addressed and resolved efficiently. Provide input on critical operational decisions (e.g. legal entity transitions carve-outs)
Safeguard business continuity and ensure full compliance with legal regulatory and internal standards during the transition period. Proactively identify and mitigate integration risks.
Partner with the Business Lead and Change Management team to support change -develop communication strategies to foster employee engagement and minimize resistance.
Track progress against integration milestones flag deviations and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions. Maintain executional discipline across all integration elements.
Promote a unified organizational culture and mindset (e.g. One Novartis) to support the realization of deal value and long1term business success.
Capture lessons learned and best practices throughout the integration lifecycle to enhance future M&A integration efforts and institutional knowledge.
Essential Criteria:
Bachelors degree in business finance or a related field
Strong project leadership experience in integration transformation or related roles
Proven experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
Strong program management skills across research development and commercial functions
Solid financial acumen and ability to align operational execution with strategic goals
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
Desirable Criteria:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Experience in M&A integration or Tier 1 consulting
Familiarity with corporate transactions separations and restructuring
