Job Description
THE ROLE
We are seeking a Trade Compliance Advisor for a global logistics organization in Switzerland. The Trade Compliance Advisor will play a key advisory role in assessing and enhancing the companys current trade compliance framework. The engagement will include a comprehensive review of existing resources stakeholder interviews and an evaluation of current processes to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements. Proficiency in English is mandatory for this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic advice on the current trade compliance structure and identify areas for improvement
- Review and update the companys Trade Compliance Manual to align with best practices and regulatory changes
- Conduct interviews with internal stakeholders to gather insights into current trade compliance processes
- Perform a detailed gap analysis of the existing trade compliance framework
- Support the implementation of findings and recommendations from the analysis
- Collaborate closely with the current Trade Compliance Manager and the Head of Legal to align efforts and ensure continuity
- Proven experience in trade compliance within the logistics and or shipping industries
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations customs laws and compliance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to conduct structural assessments and process evaluations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Prior experience in working with legal and compliance functions
- Ability to work independently and deliver results with limited oversight
