Job Description

Make your mark for patients

We are looking for an experienced detail-oriented and collaborative Quality Control Microbiology Specialist to join our team at our Bulle site in Switzerland.

About the role

You will maintain and develop microbiological laboratory activities in alignment with our company vision ensuring compliance with GMP and quality standards. Your role includes supporting microbiological operations driving continuous improvements and fostering a strong quality culture on site.

Who youll work with

You will collaborate closely with internal teams including Manufacturing Supply Chain Technical Services Quality Compliance HSE and Manufacturing Support as well as with other UCB sites globally to ensure quality excellence.

What youll do

  • Provide SME (Subject Matter Expert) support for microbiological methods and laboratory equipment.
  • Lead troubleshooting deviations and investigations related to microbiology lab methods.
  • Support laboratory teams and participate in the implementation of new microbiological methods.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to SOPs Product Quality Reviews and continuous process verification.
  • Promote and implement process improvements aligned with Quality and HSE standards.

Interested For this role were looking for the following education experience and skills

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in lab technology microbiology or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Quality Control within the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge in environmental monitoring and microbiology.
  • Strong problem-solving statistical and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with GMP pharmacopeia standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to maintain team spirit and train others.
  • Proficiency in French and English.
