Moderna is seeking a strategic and customer-focused Customer Engagement Lead Key Accounts & Contracts to support its vaccine portfolio in Switzerland. Reporting to the Country Director Switzerland this role is critical in advancing Modernas commercial footprint as we transition into an endemic COVID-19 model and expand to new product launches. This individual will act as the central orchestrator of Modernas engagement with wholesalers key accounts and buying groups across Switzerland ensuring seamless execution of our commercial strategy and excellence in customer service. With a cross-functional collaboration mindset and strong local market knowledge the role will enhance Modernas status as a preferred partner while helping deliver critical mRNA medicines to Swiss patients. Based in Basel this is a sole contributor role.
Heres What You Will Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Own and lead customer engagement activities for all key accounts and wholesalers in Switzerland.
Define and execute tailored engagement strategies based on deep understanding of customer needs and Modernas portfolio.
Implement investment communications and activation strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Lead operational planning for in-field and remote customer interactions driving adoption of Modernas vaccines.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of vaccines by coordinating with Supply Chain Regulatory Quality and Access teams.
Collaborate on vaccination campaign development from strategic planning to field execution.
Drive enhancements to ordering platform tools in partnership with providers to improve customer experience.
Serve as the point of contact for risk mitigation and contract negotiation across all commercial channels.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Develop long-term relationships with key national and cantonal stakeholders and buying groups.
Monitor customer performance against agreed KPIs and initiate corrective actions with internal stakeholders as needed.
Support Modernas tender execution strategy in Switzerland through effective project management.
Act as a builder of Modernas commercial vaccines presence in Switzerlandlaying a foundation for future launches.
Integrate customer insights digital tools and market analytics to continually refine engagement priorities and improve impact.
Uphold compliance with Modernas policies SOPs and all Swiss healthcare regulations.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor/Master/PhDs Degree with progressive excellence in pharmaceutical/biotech sales marketing and/or tender management with a preference for prior experience in vaccines
Demonstrated track record of building and driving volume and profitable revenue growth with key corporate or public sector accounts
Robust understanding of the Swiss Healthcare system of health policy and health care system stakeholders at national cantonal and local level
Fluent in German and one other Swiss langueage with strong business English skills.
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Proven track record in leading customer engagement and value-driven projects particularly in developing and deploying MVPs.
Experience with Key accounts and wholesalers management is essential.
Extensive knowledge of Swiss wholesaler and key accounts (buying groups) network and proven experience of successful intercations
Strong customer centric mindset across the various dimensions of the role.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on operational excellence and strategic customer management.
Ability to translate customer insights into actionable value solutions.
Expertise in project management particularly in the development and roll-out of new offerings.
Embracing Moderna mindsets especially for dynamic range digitize everywhere and pivot fearlessly based on new data as well as obsess with learning.
Must be comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-paced highly dynamic environment that is being defined in real-time. You should be driven and willing to think creatively and pursue new or novel approaches to business and market development
