As Sr./Director People Business Partner Europe you will step into a dynamic organization that is scaling rapidly across European markets carrying the excitement and handson challenge (in collaboration with Taiho Oncology Inc. (US) People and additionally collaborating with Taiho Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (Japan) HR as needed) of shaping and driving culture systems and people strategies. As the Director People Business Partner for Europe you will play a critical role in shaping and executing People strategies across Taihos European operations. Youll have the opportunity to work independently while also collaborating closely with international teams of scientific professionals executive leadership and TPC HR/TOI People teams.

Position Summary:

The Director People Business Partner Europe will report to the General Manager Taiho Oncology Europe working closely with Taiho Oncologys Chief People Officer and People team as the function becomes established in Europe. This strategic role will be responsible for leading and implementing the People Strategy for Taiho Europe ensuring People initiatives align with Taihos corporate vision values and longterm objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor the Director People Business Partner collaborates with functional leaders business leaders and international colleagues to deliver impactful strategies in leadership development employee engagement organizational effectiveness talent attraction retention and total rewards.

Performance Objectives:

Strategic People Leadership

  • Develop and execute People strategies that support regional business goals across European markets.
  • Serve as a strategic partner and advisor to business leaders in areas such as organizational design change management and workforce planning.
  • Aligns People initiatives with global policies while adapting them to local regulatory and cultural needs.

Client Partnership & Coaching

  • Build strong trustbased relationships with leaders and employees to support performance engagement and development.
  • Coach managers on effective leadership team dynamics and people decisionmaking.
  • Provide input and guidance on talent assessment and succession planning.

Organizational Effectiveness & Culture

  • Facilitate key People processes such as performance management employee surveys compensation cycles and development planning.
  • Serve as a champion for company culture and values promoting behaviors that reflect Taihos mission.
  • Actively participate in employee engagement initiatives and team events across the European organization.

Compliance & Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with European employment laws regulations and internal HR policies.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation of People policies and practices across the region.

Project Management & Collaboration

  • Lead and contribute to crossfunctional HR projects using structured project management approaches.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across People functions and global teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Use People data and insights to inform strategy and continuously improve people practices.
  • Collaborates effectively and frequently seeks input from others internally or externally where needed and uses that input for the improvement of the overall project(s).
  • Use project management rigor and methodology in leading team projects.

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in business related discipline or the equivalent.
  • MBA or MS degree preferred.
  • Professional HR qualification.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a strategic HR leadership or business partner role within an international or regional capacity.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical biotechnology or life sciences industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss and European employment laws (deeper expertise in German and French labour law is a plus) HR practices and cultural dynamics.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business transformation leading organizational change and coaching senior leaders.
  • Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills across diverse and matrixed environments.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft Office 365 applications Word PowerPoint Excel Teams SharePoint etc. Preferred working knowledge in Dayforce Workday and/or other HR technology.
