Designed to enable scientific laboratories to manage complex experiment workflows acquire and process instrument data and to build complex integrations through Java plugins Agilents SLIMS is the companys flagship scientific laboratory information management system.
In this internship in Lausanne you will collaborate with SLIMS developers solutions architects and the SLIMS Cloud team to design and implement SLIMS instrument plugins. Each plugin will allow SLIMS to read a specific instruments data while executing complex scientific workflows. The goal is to create reusable and easily maintainable instrument libraries for SLIMS covering such instruments as:
- Digital Balances Pipettes PH and other measurement instruments
- Label Printers
- Virtual Instruments for simulation or to expose adhoc data as instrument data
Qualifications
- You are preferably enrolled at a university in Switzerland
- Programming knowledge or experience beyond 1st year introductory courses in informatics.
- You should be comfortable with Object Oriented Programming concepts ideally in Java or a closely related language like C# or Python.
