As the Service Manager you will oversee all aspects of the service departments operations including team leadership workflow management customer service and ensuring the highest standards of repair and maintenance are met. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with diesel engines strong leadership skills and a proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.

Requirements

What Youll Do

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the service department ensuring efficient workflow and timely repairs.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of diesel/ heavy truck technicians providing guidance training and performance feedback.
  • Schedule and prioritize work orders to meet customer expectations and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by communicating clearly and effectively about diagnostics estimates repairs and timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor parts inventory and work with the parts department to ensure timely procurement.
  • Review and analyze service reports KPIs and technician productivity to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support business goals.

What you Bring:

  • 3 years of experience in heavy-duty diesel repair with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics electrical systems Refrigeration and diagnostic equipment.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Experience with service software and reporting tools a plus
