Job Description

Health Care Assistant Nursing Resource Unit

  • Southland Hospital Permanent part time 0.9 FTE
  • Salary Band $60100 - $70358 per annum pro-rata KiwiSaver carpark

About the Role

The Nursing Resource Unit has the unique benefit of being able to offer you variety in your workplace. You would get to see the ins and outs of the whole hospital where each day you may be based in a different environment.

As Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:

  • Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
  • Patient supervision and/or movement
  • Stock reconciliation
  • Ward maintenance
  • Patient cares as required

Becoming a Healthcare assistant in the health sector is a great opportunity to:

  • Use your caring and empathetic nature in your work
  • Receive on the job training and support
  • Gain a NZQA Level 3 certificate (Health and Wellbeing for Hospitals and Health Sector)
