Support Officer IT
Full-time Permanent position - 40 Hours per week

Buller District Council is seeking an enthusiastic IT professional who can build relationships with ease and provide their work colleagues the dedicated support. Our ideal candidate will be approachable and prepared to provide quality and timely service. You will work with a range of technologies in a fast-paced environment; therefore an ability to pick up and understand new systems and processes will be to your advantage. You must have functional networking and diagnostic knowledge an understanding of ITIL framework and associated principles and administration within a Microsoft environment.

What will you do
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support in the IT space to the rest of the organisation. Additional responsibilities include assisting with the management of the Microsoft Office 365 Active Directory and Azure environments as well as actively participating in the management of external vendors software licensing and hardware.
This role also involves assisting with the secure operations of the in-house computer systems servers and network
connections and rolling out security updates across systems. You will be required to assist the IT Team Leader with
the delivery of IT and GIS services and related projects across the organisation.
Who are you
You will be a self-driven person with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. We would require you to have around 1-3 years experience in a similar role but also having the ability to learn new software hardware and skills in a timely and efficient manner. You also must have a passion for technology and quality service.
