Were on the lookout for a registered Paramedic or Extended Care Paramedic (ECP) to join our team and work across practices in Wellington. This is a full-time fixed term role until June 2026 in general practices where you will be supporting practice to deliver urgent and unscheduled care to the community and their whnauensuring timely access to primary care when its needed most.
As part of our Comprehensive Primary and Community Team youll collaborate with like-minded clinicians in a dynamic supportive environment. The role focuses on providing care in a variety of clinical and community settings with an emphasis on managing patients in their own environment and context. Youll be confident in conducting comprehensive assessments initiating appropriate treatment and facilitating referrals for low to moderate acuity patients.

Essential qualifications and experience:
Current registration and Annual Practising Certificate (APC) with Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council
Minimum of three years experience as a Paramedic
A strong understanding of the needs of high-needs populations including Mori and Pacific peoples
Proven relationship management skills and experience working in complex multidisciplinary teamswith the ability to flex and
adapt as needed
Extended Care Paramedics
Extended Care Paramedic Endorsement with Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council (or endorsement application pending)
A Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Paramedicine) or completion of a paper in Community and Remote Area
Paramedicine OR currently working toward a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Paramedicine) and holding a Bachelor of
Health Science in Paramedicine
Paramedics
Currently working towards or prepared to work towards becoming an Extended Care Paramedic through completing a
Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science (Paramedicine) and currently holding a Bachelor of Health Science in Paramedicine
Desirable (but not essential):
Three years experience as a Extended Care Paramedic
Extended Care Paramedic Endorsement with Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council (or have applied for one)
Previous experience in primary healthcare
Current authorised vaccinator certification (Wellington/Wairarapa region)
Demonstrated professionalism and clinical leadership
Sound knowledge of New Zealands primary health care services and systems
Experience implementing and maintaining quality processes and systems
Familiarity with patient management systems such as Medtech Indici Concerto
