Literacy Support Assistant Barking & Dagenham September Start

Your role as a Literacy Support Assistant will include:
Supporting pupils who are struggling to access the mainstream curriculum in Literacy.
Delivering tailored support in small group sessions (up to 5 pupils).
Creating engaging resources to meet the individual needs of learners.
Assisting class teachers across different lessons when required.
Encouraging and motivating pupils to achieve academic success.
Essential requirements for the Literacy Support Assistant role:
A 1:1 or 2:1 English degree from a top 20 UK University.
A genuine passion for education and a desire to go into Teacher Training or Psychology.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage pupils effectively.
Proactive dedicated and flexible in meeting the needs of the school.
Previous child-based experience is desirable.
