The Opportunity:
Were looking for a Director Responsible Investing to join our Client Insights Group in support of NEIs retail and institutional Sales team and their stakeholders.
Reporting to the Senior Director Sales Enablement the Director Responsible Investing will form a critical conduit between the RI team and the NEI retail and institutional sales teams to translate NEIs stewardship activities into compelling business-ready narratives that inspire advisors and investors and create new growth opportunities across all distribution channels.

What your day looks like:
- Use your expertise and understanding of Responsible Investing (RI) to communicate the application and benefits of NEIs RI stewardship activities
- As the subject matter expert in responsible investing you will work with a diverse group of stakeholders to grow awareness of NEIs Responsible Investing program
- Use your superb communication skills to be the face of NEIs stewardship and responsible investing partnership with Sales and Marketing youll translate complex activities into compelling business-focused narratives that highlight this competitive differentiator for advisors and investors
- Partner with the Responsible Investing team to stay current on NEIs responsible investing program stewardship initiatives engagement activities industry developments and research to ensure timely relevant stories are brought to market
- Build strong relationships with financial advisors institutional clients and credit union partners inspiring them to integrate RI into their business strategies and client conversations
- Partner with retail and institutional sales teams to attend client and prospect meetings delivering high-impact presentations seminars and webinars that highlight the value of NEIs stewardship work
- Proactively identify opportunities through advisor conversations market events and industry developments to showcase the RI teams stewardship activities across different industries highlighting their relevance to clients and communities
- Equip wholesalers and distribution partners with persuasive messaging presentation materials and content to capture new business and deepen existing relationships
- Anticipate and address sales and advisor questions on RI and stewardship positioning NEI as a trusted thought leader
- Work with marketing and sales to ensure stewardship messaging is consistently integrated into campaign materials and client touchpoints
RequirementsYour experience and skills:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Finance Business Sustainability Communications Sales or a combination of these and related fields is preferred
- Preference will be given to candidates who have an MBA CFA Masters of Sustainability or related field
- 2 years experience in the sale or support of responsible or impact investing is beneficial with exposure to the principles of RI and understanding the role it plays as a financial concept and financial planning
- 5 years experience in the investment advice business either within a sales or client portfolio management role
- Superior skills in relationship building analysis research written and verbal communication and presenting complex ideas in a compelling and impactful way
- Highly organized and able to maintain multiple relationships both internally and externally
- The ability to self-start and support key initiatives tied directly to the organizations core value proposition
- Experience in an organization that offers RI solutions is an asset
- Fluent communication skills (written and verbal) in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $135000 - $160000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
