Overview:
Shangri-La Jeddah is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Events to lead our Event Sales Team and drive MICE (Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions) business growth. This leadership role is pivotal in shaping our event strategy enhancing client relationships and delivering exceptional experiences that reflect our brands excellence
As Director of Events we rely on you to
Lead & Inspire:
Manage and mentor the Event Sales Team to achieve revenue targets and service excellence.
Drive Sales:
Develop and execute strategies to grow MICE business and expand market share.
Client Engagement:
Build strong relationships with corporate clients event planners and industry partners.
Event Execution:
Oversee planning and delivery of high-quality events ensuring seamless coordination across departments.
Financial Oversight:
Manage budgets forecasts and performance metrics to meet financial goals.
Marketing Collaboration:
Partner with the Marketing team to promote event spaces and packages effectively.
What we are Looking For:
Bachelors degree in Hospitality Business or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in event sales or MICE management preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Strong communication negotiation and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in CRM and event management software.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
