Role name and description

Assistant Manager An Assistant Manager will be expected to spearhead a team of analysts and seniors and be responsible for client service delivery of an account. They will be responsible for developing and coaching team members.

Your key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues
• Sign simple to moderate tax returns
• Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work
• Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement
• Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams
• Help managers and senior managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects
• Develop engagement and financial management skills
• Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client
• Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams
• Facilitate teaming and manage conflicts
• Motivate and inspire team members
• Demonstrate leadership and executive presence
• Coach team members

Skills and attributes for success

• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge
• Effective communication skills by being articulate thoughtful and adapting communications to target audiences; interacting effectively in person by phone and in writing
• Team management skills

To qualify for the role you must have

• Graduates or Postgraduates preferred

Ideally youll also have

• Basic MS office knowledge
