The Mechanical Maintenance Mechanic I performs maintenance installation and repair work on mechanical systems equipment and components. This work is performed under general supervision and using the tools and techniques of mechanical technology.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Successful completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program which is approved/accepted by local or state government.
- Johns Hopkins Hospital Certification
- 5 years related work experience. The full-time equivalent spent in an approved program may count toward the 5-year work experience requirement.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of electrical techniques codes procedures and materials.
- Knowledge of safety rules procedures and practices including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
- Performs work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade industry or engineered standards.
