Job Description

We have a delivery truck driver opening in Jacksonville FL and are looking for the best to join our team.
This is a physically demanding job with consistent heavy lifting in a non-climate controlled environment. Please only apply if you are comfortable working in those conditions.
In this position you will:
- Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarrs policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip inspections log books safe driving etc.).
- Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times.
- Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
- Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
- Unload and accurately receive incoming product.
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license.
- Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required (2 years preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience driving box trucks or similar.
- Warehouse duties performed in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Must be able to read and speak English per DOT guidelines.
- Frequent stooping bending walking carrying and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
- Ability to meet and comply with DOT regulations.
- Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program
- Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarrs s driver standards
- Must be 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent.
The Details:
This position is Monday - Friday from 7:30am 4:00pm however flexibility is required in case early or late deliveries are needed. The pay rate is $21-23/hr based on experience. Candidates for this position must have a good attitude a desire to work hard with a great team and the ability to be a self-starter.
